Thursday, October 15, 2015 - Lahore—China will find way to provide technical assistance to TEVTA for the promotion of technical education and vocational training system across the province of the Punjab.

It was stated by Chinese Consul General Mr. Yu Boren during his visit at TEVTA Secretariat on Wednesday. “We will also arrange teachers, text books and other related material for Chinese Language classes, started at TEVTA Institutes. We would like to establish long term cooperation with TEVTA regarding Chinese language education,” Mr. Yu Boren said.

Chinese Consul General Mr. Yu Boren said that contributions of TEVTA to provide skilled training courses are highly appreciable. I am very happy to see that Chinese Language class has got fruitful development. Chinese President Xi Jingping paid a successful visit to Pakistan.

This visit has greatly promoted the unique friendly relations between China and Pakistan and injected strong impetus to the China-Pakistan cooperation. During the visit, leadership of both countries agreed to uplift the China-Pakistan relations to the All-Whether strategic Cooperative Partnership. By all-whether, we mean that our two countries will always move ahead together rain or shine.

As Consulate General here in Lahore, we need to join our hands to enhance the people-to-people exchange. And language is one of the critical factors to promote the people-to-people contact. I believe China and Pakistan will work more closely to push forward bilateral relations and strengthen coordination in the international affairs.

China economic cooperation will open new corridors of prosperity for the people of Pakistan. China is committed to the path of peaceful development and the win-win strategy of opening up venues for joint ventures. A more developed China will make greater contribution and bring more opportunities to the world; he said adding that the year 2015 was marked as a special year for the “friendly partnership for common development” between China and Pakistan.

We believe that alongwith the construction of China-Pakistan economic Corridor, there will be more and more Chinese enterprises coming to Pakistan to support the economic development here, in various areas. And there will be a broad space for the intellects that can speak Chinese. And there will be a huge picture to draw by our joint hands.

Chairperson TEVTA Irfan Qaiser Sheikh in his address highlighted the efforts of TEVTA for boosting vocational training and increasing opportunities for training of youth. TEVTA is the largest organization, providing technical education and vocational training across the province of the Punjab. Introduction of demand driven courses and placement of pass-outs is the main focus of TEVTA. Industrial growth of our country is not possible without provision of trained manpower. The vision of Chief Minister Punjab Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif is to provide skilled training to the youth to produce employable skilled work force responsive to the needs of industry locally and abroad.

TEVTA is doing its full efforts to provide trained manpower in shortest time as per requirement of the Industry. On the recommendations of relevant Industry, TEVTA has started new short courses.
