Make Free Calls Using Facebook!
Facebook has added free voice calling to their list of services. Though
not individually, the social networking giant has unveiled free voice
calling to users of the Messenger app in India. If you use Facebook Messenger app on your smartphone, you can download the latest upgrade and make free voice calls to friends in your list!
The service was rolled out initially in USA and Canada last year and has
been a pending update. While the service lets you make free voice calls
to all friends in your messenger list, you will still have to incur
data charges. Voice calls can be made only if the other person on your
list has also installed the app.
The free calling works with both 2G and 3G connections but needless to say,
the results will be better on 3G and WiFi. Currently, the voice calling
feature is available only on iOS and Android apps. We guess BlackBerry
and Windows users will have to wait a bit more to get the feature. While
iOS users will get a push notification when someone tries making a free call, Android users will get the call as a normal voice call.
