A huge crowd of people gathers to observe the ceremony. The crowd is a fine blend of people with every age group from school children to young boys and girls and from middle aged to old. The ceremony starts off with the parade by the soldiers from Pakistan rangers and is followed by an aggressive foot thumping by the soldiers and patriotic cheers and zealous roars from the crowd. Constantly boasting the morale and enthusiasm are the national songs being continuously played at the border site. After the ceremony ends gates at both sides are closed and the crowd is led to visit the border site where one could easily see the people at the other side as enthusiastic and excited as people on this side of the border.
